Dear Members,

It’s my honor to contact you with exciting news from The Parks Chamber of Commerce. Over the past few months, our Board of Directors has worked to define a shared vision for the future of our organization and hire a new Executive Director to help us:

  • Create new excitement
  • Build stronger relationships with – and demonstrate value for – our members
  • Achieve revenue reliability and overall financial health
  • Become “the Voice of Business” and a go-to B2B referral organization
  • Grow our membership base
  • Host world-class events and
  • Strengthen relationships with municipalities and regional partners.

I’m pleased to report that Tonya Lamia has accepted the position of Executive Director for The Parks Chamber, and she has been working diligently to stabilize the foundation of our organization while implementing new tools, processes, and strategies for efficiency, transparency, and profitability.

In the short time she’s been here, Tonya has inspired us with her powerful insights, and she has energized the Board with her smart and strategic drive towards excellence.

Over the next few months, you can expect to see significant changes at The Parks Chamber of Commerce, starting with a world-class Golf Outing on August 22 and the implementation of a new, comprehensive Member Management System that provides proven tools for effective and measurable online promotion of your business.

Our new Member Directory will feature beautiful profiles for each of our members that are mobile responsive and search-engine optimized. Our new, seamless platform will also feature a community calendar; a text messaging tool; and a coupon creator, which will allow you to easily create online coupons that can be integrated into your own website.

You can expect to hear from us again soon about this exciting technology that is used by hundreds of Chambers and tens-of-thousands of members in over 40 states!

Please join me in welcoming Tonya Lamia. We’re confident that our organization – and your business – will benefit from the strategic improvements being made at The Parks Chamber of Commerce.

Craig Carlson, President of the Board
